Single vehicle accident today between mileposts 10 and 12 involving a white van. Numerous emergency vehicles on scene. The van was westbound, left the roadway and went over the embankment. The one person in the van was reportedly taken to the hospital by EMT’s.
Road conditions and visibility were good at the time. Yet another case where rumble strips could have prevented an accident?
Thanks for posting this… and just a week prior to this happening another vehicle left the roadway and hit a dog that was standing on the embankment on the other side of the fog line across from the weigh station which is not more than two miles from where this latest accident occurred.. Rumble strips might have saved this dog’s life too… I spoke with the owner of the dog who had the unpleasant task of picking up what was left of it.
