The McKenzie Hwy is Oregon’s most dangerous highway. There have been over 9,000 accidents in the past 23 years. There have also been over 7,000 people injured and over 200 people killed. Why are there are no fog line reflectors or rumble strips along the highway and only a handful of life saving guard rails? Is it because our State Senator Floyd Prozanski wants the highway to be bicycle friendly all the way from Springfield to Redmond? Call him and while you are at it call State Senator Lee Beyer and who is the head of the Transportation Committee in the Oregon Legislature and let them hear from you… You should also call State Reps Marty Wilde and Cedric Hayden and tell them that you want a safer highway not one that is bicycle friendly !
